Highlight of the day: Being in Indianapolis for the national RA Race to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Royal Ambassadors (www.royalambassadors.org). RA is a great boys program. I'm looking forward to Evan and Baby Boy Eaker being in RA!
An Unstoppable Force
I'm currently reading An Unstoppable Force by Erwin McManus pastor of the Mosaic Church (www.mosaic.org) in LA. This paragraph really struck a cord with me today. I just wanted to share it...
"The first-century church was founded on the adventurous journeys of men like Paul and Barnabas. It was never intended to be a place of safety from the rapidly changing world. The church should be the greatest revolution ever initiated on this planet. She moves from generation to generation through the dreamers and visionaries who believe that nothing is impossible with God. And like prophets, they call God's people to live their lives as if God is truly God."
Personally, I feel like sometimes I'm just going through the motions and using my faith and church as a security blanket from the world, but that is not the life that God has called me to live. What if I woke every morning, thinking this day is created for revolutionary living for God. How do you think it would effect my life, family, ministry, and in generally how I relate to others? My heart longs for revolutionary living where I live and breathe God is truly God.
What if the church stopped playing church and started revolutionary living? How would that change how we do church and how we minister to children and families? Now, that gets me excited!
